United Producers, Inc. Holds Annual Meeting of the Delegates

United Producers, Inc. (UPI), the Midwest’s largest livestock marketing cooperative, held their 2024 Annual Meeting of the Delegates virtually in January. This online meeting reviewed highlights of 2023 and new UPI objectives for the coming year. Randy Blach, CEO of CattleFax, presented to over 150 Delegates on the current state of the livestock industry, particularly the projected outlook of the U.S. cattle sector.

“United Producers, Inc. is honored to have such a dedicated and insightful group of Delegates, whose contributions are invaluable to our decision-making process,” said Mike Bumgarner, President and CEO. “Not only do we meet with our entire Delegate body as a group, but we also engage with our individual Delegate Councils to further understand what’s impacting them locally. These Delegate meetings are a testament to us as a cooperative and the governing principle of democratic member control. The diverse perspectives shared during these meetings ensure that we are able to overcome obstacles and prosper as one UPI. Our continued success would not be possible without the unwavering support of our Board, our Delegates and our members.”

UPI Delegate meetings provide a platform for collaborative discussion among its dedicated Delegates. Topics covered typically include market trends, industry challenges and innovative approaches to new and continued services. These meetings exemplify UPI’s dedication to excellence and their ongoing efforts to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the agricultural industry.

UPI serves 30,000 members in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee and surrounding states, handling approximately 2.7 million head of livestock per year. UPI also offers risk management services, including marketing agreements and brokerage services; and offers competitive credit services for agricultural real estate, operating loans, and livestock financing.
