Location: Hillsboro, Ohio
Responsibilities:
Promote a culture of safety within the facility;
Provide support to the Facility Manager as needed;
Assist with managing employees;
Provide livestock marketing solutions to members, buyers/customers, and producers;
Increase profits by increasing volume, enhancing margin, and developing additional market share for all services offered by UPI;
Identify, develop, nurture, and sustain long term/strategic customer relationships;
Address and resolve customer concerns;
Ensure that all rules and regulations created by the Packers and Stockyards Administration and state department(s) of agriculture are followed;
Assist in the annual budget process;
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Animal Science, Agriculture Economics, or related field preferred;
BQA certification;
Minimum of 2 years experience working with cattle;
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer relations position, such as sales or customer service;
Demonstrated leadership experience;
Computer proficiency.
Must be ethical, safety conscious, self-motivated, and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, perseverance, negotiation skills, and problem solving skills.
Must be agile; able to lift 35 lbs or more regularly; able to work in extreme temperatures.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be to travel regularly.
