Job Title: Key Accounts Sales Representative

Location: MidWest

Hours: Full-Time

Summary: Achieve sales growth through the acquisition of new customers and the development, retention, and expansion of existing customer relationships. Builds strong partnerships with producers, feedlots, and other livestock industry participants by promoting and marketing livestock, providing industry expertise, identifying customer needs, and delivering exceptional service.

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide livestock marketing solutions to customers to include, but not limited to: livestock transportation and logistics, data and inventory management, procurement options for feeder livestock, feeder cattle sales, direct sales and marketing, order buying services, credit services, and risk management services to increase market share and profitability, following company policies, asking for the sale, and closing the sale.

• Develop and foster a collaborative working relationship across all UPI platforms.

• Identify, develop, nurture, and sustain long term customer relationships.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and sales terms.

• Provide customers with market insights, pricing trends, and production guidance.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and delivery.

• Communicate effectively in a professional manner internally and externally.

• Ensure that all accounts are following accounts receivable policies.

• Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.

• Must be compliant with Packers and Stockyards Administration and state department(s) of agriculture rules and regulations.

• Ensure animal well-being industry and company guidelines are being met or exceeded.

 

 

Requirements:

• 3 year of more experience working in livestock sales, specific to cattle.

• Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Strong knowledge of livestock production.

• B.S. in AgBusiness, Animal Science, AgEconomics, or related field preferred.
