Human Resources Generalist – Columbus, OH

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Responsibilities:

• Performs full-cycle recruiting for all positions, as needed;

• Prepares onboarding plans in conjunction with hiring manager’s training plans;

• Conducts new hire orientation, reviewing employee benefits and handbook policies, and ensuring all new hire paperwork is completed timely and accurately;

• Process I-9’s using E-Verify;

• Update benefit carriers with changes as needed (new hires, terminations, etc.);

• Administer Worker’s Compensation ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies;

• Conducts exit interviews and offboards terminating employees;

• Assist managers and employees with various employee relations issues;

• Partner with managers to determine training needs and deliver HR related training as needed;

• Assign, monitor, and run reports for online training as needed;

• Reconcile HR related invoices for approval;

• Assist HR Manager with ensuring compliance with ACA requirements;

• Assist HR Manager with ensuring compliance with 401k requirements;

• Maintain electronic personnel files;

• Provide exceptional customer service;

• Provide back-up support to Payroll Administrator;

 

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in Human Resources required. Prior experience in a Human Resources Generalist position preferred, preferably in a multi-state environment with responsibilities for recruiting, employee relations, benefits, and payroll.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred;

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred;

• Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred;

• Demonstrated knowledge of Employment and Benefit laws;

• Excellent communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels of the organization;

• Must have strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to multi-task, excellent time-management skills, and be team-oriented.
