Job Title: Assistant Facility Manager

Location: Bucyrus, OH

Hours: Full-Time

Summary: Assist the Facility Manager with the day to day function and flow of facility operations internally and externally. Work to improve and maintain a high level of logistical efficiency for the solicitation, procurement and marketing of our members/customers livestock.

Responsibilities:

• Provide livestock marketing solutions to members to include, but not limited to the following: livestock logistics, procurement options for livestock, weekly auction marketing and collection points, livestock sales and marketing, and order buying services.

• Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring that all opportunities are left with complete clarity so that the customer understands.

• Assist with planning, supervising, delegating, and maintaining day to day cleaning, maintenance and repairs of the facility, outside premises and equipment to demonstrate that we operate in professional manner.

• Make recommendations to the Facility Manager regarding any improvements or changes that could make the facility run more efficiently and effectively.

• Assist in ensuring the staff, customer buyers and guests follow all established company policies and procedures, animal well-being industry and company guidelines, Packers and Stockyards Administration and state department(s) of agriculture rules and regulations.

• Ensure that all accounts receivables are within company guidelines and follow company policies and procedures pertaining to accounts receivable.

• Promote a culture of safety within the facility by reinforcing the importance of everyday safety precautions with employees and following company safety policies and actively looking for ways to eliminate or prevent injuries to individuals and livestock within the facility and on the road.

Requirements:

• 2 years of prior experience working with livestock (cattle, hogs, sheep)

• 2 years in a customer relations position, such as sales or customer service

• Prior leadership experience is preferred
