Manager, Information Technology – Columbus, OH

Responsibilities:

Manage the third party IT vendor relationship(s);

Provide strategic direction and oversight to meet the IT needs of the Company;

Direct daily operations of the department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, and developing standards and setting deadlines;

Meet with department heads, managers, and vendors to solicit cooperation and resolve problems;

Meet with users, management, and vendors to assess computing needs and system requirements;

Assign and review the work of those performing IT related tasks;

Develop computer information resources, providing the data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery;

Stay abreast of advances in technology and make recommendations for updates needed to the organization’s technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades;

Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures;

Review and approve all systems programs prior to their implementation or upgrades;

Prepare and review project progress reports;

Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements;

Create and manage the IT budget and expenditures;

Approve any equipment purchases.

Requirements:

Prior experience managing third party vendor relationships;

Project management experience;

Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field;

Prior experience supporting IBM or compatible hardware and windows software applications in a networked environment; configuration management; systems analysis and evaluation; and network security.

Prior experience supporting companies with multiple locations.
